I am thrilled for anyone who wants and gets this promo. Personally, and I am not alone, I cannot trust Frontier and other LCC if I really need to get somewhere, like a business trip. Or even a leisure trip where I have reserved and prepaid a hotel stay.
Multiple times in the last several years I have had cancelled flights. As far as what I know, they are only obligated to give you a refund of fare paid or get you on the next available flight that they alone have. In 2 of my experiences the next available was more than 24 hours away, so in each case I bought a full fare ticket on another carrier to get to my destination. I am sure others have had great experiences.
Do not get me wrong, if I have lots of leisure time I enjoy capturing a $19 fare! But to fly them consistently, even for free--not for me. For many others, once again---GO FOR IT
As another data point, I've taken about 15 flights this year on the pass. No flight cancellations. I think I've only ever connected once and it was fine. I plan on buying it again, especially at $299.
They have very few flights per day (1-2) so if anything happens to that flight then you're probably stranded for at least 24 hours or booking on another airline. You can't speak to a human, including the ones at the airport, without challenges or costs. They are extremely strict on baggage sizes. If your whole bag doesn't fit completely in their bag checker then there are fees charged. Their flight times aren't consistent (that same flight might be at a different time on different days). The GoWild availability is not always available or for a low price. They treat you just slightly better than their employees traveling using a similar program.
Also, I can't travel 1000 miles for $16 in 2 hours any other way. If it works it works, but, for many, it won't.
Unless you're financially stranded, you should never do business with these thugs.
I think you mean financially stable. This allows you to fly on empty flights but you'll have to pay last-minute lodgings because you have no time to plan ahead with hotel deals.

"For each flight, you'll pay $0.01 in airfare plus applicable taxes, fees, and charges at the time of booking." So the price you see when you search are those "applicable taxes, fees, and charges."
I would mention you have to go through about 5 screens of denying extra charges (bags, self-service, insurance, etc.) but that quoted price on the search page is the total price.
Added a screenshot as an example. That flight is listed at $39 on the search page. Actual price $38.96 charged to credit card.
This reminds of car rentals: Rent for $5/day and do not forget to pay $40/day in other fees and taxes.
also, just searched their site for sample flights from midwest to florida.
Fare: (To:$30 From:$12), other fees and charges: $72 each way.
This is a really really bad offering.... ie shill deal...

If you want to fly with a 3rd class carrier that constantly delays and cancels flights with no warning. If you want to fly with a carrier that charges for every carry on and checked bag. If you want to deal with the most poorly paid staff in the airline industry. If you want to pay for every snack and beverage.
Then this is for you
Really though, the best reason to get this is that you have some family or other person you see every month or two and that Frontier serves that route. Otherwise I woudn't touch it. You probably won't get your $300. I certainly didn't get my $600 out of it the first year and so canceled (I got about $440 worth from 3 flights that were not the cheaper routes and shipping my luggage was a pain)

Bought last year, it was tough to use. Got couple trips to Cancun for $49 each way, 20 more trips to PHX and LAS to visit most (if not all) national Parks in AZ, UT, WY etc.

Buy your Frontier GoWild ticket (doesn't matter which card you buy the pass on) with a really good credit card or buy a subscription for travel insurance. Flying 20+ flights in one year needed a hotel once and a delay over 4 hours once for free food. Both times the credit card travel insurance reimbursed me.
I have the winter one and only used it about four times. I have family in Michigan so fly once a month from phx. Love it so far but I know what I'm getting into.
