I am thrilled for anyone who wants and gets this promo. Personally, and I am not alone, I cannot trust Frontier and other LCC if I really need to get somewhere, like a business trip. Or even a leisure trip where I have reserved and prepaid a hotel stay.

Multiple times in the last several years I have had cancelled flights. As far as what I know, they are only obligated to give you a refund of fare paid or get you on the next available flight that they alone have. In 2 of my experiences the next available was more than 24 hours away, so in each case I bought a full fare ticket on another carrier to get to my destination. I am sure others have had great experiences.

Do not get me wrong, if I have lots of leisure time I enjoy capturing a $19 fare! But to fly them consistently, even for free--not for me. For many others, once again---GO FOR IT

As another data point, I've taken about 15 flights this year on the pass. No flight cancellations. I think I've only ever connected once and it was fine. I plan on buying it again, especially at $299.
They have very few flights per day (1-2) so if anything happens to that flight then you're probably stranded for at least 24 hours or booking on another airline. You can't speak to a human, including the ones at the airport, without challenges or costs. They are extremely strict on baggage sizes. If your whole bag doesn't fit completely in their bag checker then there are fees charged. Their flight times aren't consistent (that same flight might be at a different time on different days). The GoWild availability is not always available or for a low price. They treat you just slightly better than their employees traveling using a similar program.
Also, I can't travel 1000 miles for $16 in 2 hours any other way. If it works it works, but, for many, it won't.

The airline may not exist by May 1, 2025. No one will give your money back.

They literally opened my checked bags and stole stuff (souvenirs from trip) and when I called, they didn't do anything about it.

Aren't they filing for bankruptcy? Feels like a bait and switch. Gather all the cash they can before they go out of business...

I've had horrible experiences with Frontier. And I've decided not to fly with them any more. Every working individual in frontier is rude, from reception to air hostess. And their history of flight cancellations, delays, buggy app is an addition.

Beware, they don't have a proper customer care. Email them today, get response after a week. Any situation.

I only use them to go watch a football or a baseball game at some far away city. I buy game tickets and book my hotel upon landing and typically leave the morning after.

I don't think so, they're trying a different business model akin to a subscription. They were trying to buy Spirit but that fell through.

Rule #1: Never fly last flight if you absolutely have to get there. Aside from weather, if you get cancelled, there's always another flight unless it's the last one of the night. Never been cancelled on Frontier, but I always try to fly morning outbound and mid- to late-afternoon on returns.

Rule #2: LCC are not low-cost if you have to pay for baggage. This deal is still $65-70 each way if you're checking in.

It's a great deal for people who have pure freedom of time and nobody to take care of. Just hop on, and go.

"Fly as much as you want for an entire year"
Given that the amount I want to fly on Frontier is zero, this is about $299 overpriced.

Looks like you'll have to have or buy a small Frontier approved backpack for $22 on Amazon. Otherwise I think it's $57 for a carry-on that's too large. Can't confirm domestic until day before could be a problem. Also, seems some of my vacation routes to the Caribbean have LONG flight times over a day. I guess a couple of trips would make it worthwhile. Thanks for the post, OP. I never knew a reasonable cost subscription model existed on flights.
I just use an Eddie Bauer stowaway 30L backpack. As long as it drops in the sizer, it's fine. A lot of us get the branded credit card for free checked bags or to get status by spend.
I flew about a dozen Frontier flights this year (mainly SEA-LAS-SEA but also to Los Angeles) after status match for Platinum status with free bags and seat selection. Worst case was a one hour delayed flight. You bet I got the annual pass this time around. Also got the credit card to get at least Gold Status for the year to go with it.

Many a times I've booked frontier 19, 25 and 30$ flights cancelled at times..flown at times.. moat of the fees are CIC fees and taxes.

So how does the 299 help me? If taxes are same?./^×> their base fare is always 0.01$ so shady af.
