Played the opening mission on GamePass. It looks better graphically but I've got a ways to go to see if the story is on par with the original. You do get to keep the basic "skills" from the first such as push/pull and double jump. Having to wait a while for those in the first game wasn't so fun.

Most of the negative reviews seem to be because the performance is awful. That's mainly why I've stayed away from it. Standard EA practice of releasing games that are full of bugs and optimized poorly.

That's where the large majority of early negatives came from. Even with a 4090 I've been holding off to give time for bug fixes and optimization. I think I'll give it a first try this winter.

It's definitely a decent game and worth it at this price but I found that once I played it through I was done with it. I had no desire to 100% complete the game since a lot of the areas were very similar.

I played through the entire walkthrough and then some and only experienced a couple glitches and these couple glitches only occurred when I was trying to use jumps over chasms to obtain items.

I like to think of myself as an aging power gamer. I used to complete every game I started, since the 80s. That's waned a bit with age. But, for some reason, the "Sliding on the ice" bit on the 1st game was a stopping point. I've got too many other games to deal with split second jumping puzzles in this day and age. Who needs this as a Jedi? (And I got a long way through Super Meat Boy.. So I'm pretty sure it's not me....) LOL Still I'll give it a chance at the right price.

I feel every game needs a "god" mode for players like myself who just want to enjoy the game with zero difficulty. Even an arrow that points u which direction to go.
Working adults can't find so much time nowadays, with family, netflix etc.

I'm with you. If you found any games that have worked out for you, I would love to know.

It will be cheaper on Steam, too, if you already own the first game and "complete the bundle". I got it for 16.68 after tax.

Not a really fun game - the first one was decent but this followup I could not even bother finishing.

I've been a gamer since the NES days. Yeah, I don't have nearly as much time to game these days, especially if I want to maintain my marriage... but when I do game, I like it difficult. Give me souls-like games and make me curse the game out when I die a hundred times in the same area over and over. I enjoy a challenge. Games are generally too easy these days.

Maybe I'm old but I find games generally way too difficult these days. I'll watch my son play a souls type game and I just think to myself "WHY on earth do you think dying 5,000 times is FUN?" I've also noticed my gaming limit is about 1 hour now before I get bored silly and my eyes dry out and get red.
