I cannot say this is a good deal, but I like the button adjustment on the wrench. It is fast. Also the teeth remain nearly parallel to each other, which is good. When they were on sale "moons ago", I purchased some for my family (e.g. son, daughters) as they were nice. just my two cents.

If you've never used grove joint pliers with a spring lock mechanism (the button), they're worth EVERY penny compared to other adjustable plier designs.

These aren't Knipex and it does show a bit, but a similar Irwin set I have is completely fine and has worked just as well as my Knipex through reasonable use that hasn't been overly abusive.

they were a buck cheaper than this price less than a week ago. The normal price on these is $28. The most they have been in recent time has been $34...

I was about to buy when I realized that this wasn't as good of a deal as it seemed. Ill hold off.

As for the product itself. They are more than good for heavy homeowner use. The biggest complaint is the overmoulded handles. . If you store them in a tool box/drawer, they are awesome, but They are a huge pain to slide in and out of your tool bag loops. Seems like a minor complaint till you have to deal with wiggling them in and out over and over again. Just something to consider.

I love how sharp the teeth are on these. I use my Knipex more, but keep a set of these around in case I really need to grip something.

Be careful, they rust fairly easily. Just be mindful of where you leave them.

These are definitely not knipex quality. They are made in china garbage you can get at the flea market for $4 without the logo. The knipex are at least made in Japan and the quality difference is huge. Don't be suckered into buying this crap.

I have these. They sorta suck in my opinion. One of em the locking mechanism for the sliding jaw doesn't hold so as soon as you put pressure it slips open so it's impossible to hold whatever you're trying to hold. If that makes sense.

If it was 8 and 12 inch, I would have pulled the trigger.

I have this set and love them. I use them frequently. Love the ease of adjustment and good handling.
