This is a good deal. I own two of these and just bought a third thanks to this post.
I have one in my router table and one of the fixed / plunge combos. This new one will be full time plunge so that I'll never have to switch bases again.
At least that's how I justify it to myself.

Yeah, I ended up buying the kit because it got the plunge base so much cheaper than buying it after buying the one in this deal. I also couldn't find a second item I wanted within the deal. The plunge base would be $100 by itself:

Totally worth it. Don't make my mistake and get the router alone, if you ever would want the plunge base (and a case) get the kit for $169. Plunge base doesn't seem to ever be cheaper than around $100 on it's own.
