Thanks! I bought these. Same nippers(maybe 3/4" longer handles), but with coated handles. Good deal!

Those aren't the same nippers. In addition to the longer handles, the ones you linked have compact jaws and are meant for twisting and cutting rebar wire ties. OP's have larger jaws with a broad radius, designed to grip and pry nails out of wood without damage to the wood.
Both seem like they're pretty slick deals, but they're not interchangeable.

Are we sure this is a deal? I'm seeing this as normal price at Amazon, Home Depot, and others.

The Concreter's set for $18.58 (middle link) is a couple inches longer than the red handled set for a buck cheaper.
It's 280mm (11 inches) versus 220mm (8 5/8 inches).
I just bit on the 280mm set with bare handles.

The "Carpenter's sets are even shorter than both, at 210mm (8 1/4").

I haven't checked the diameter of my toenails in a while, but these cut through 'em like butter. Just careful not to catch any skin or bone.

Diameter does matter, but it isn't the main deciding factor.
The hardness of the steel is what counts, such as many hardened or finishing nails which can be less than 20% of the diameter of other nails made from more milder steel, yet they'll have a hardness that will chip the cutting edge on the snips in a flash.
You won't be cutting many 12D or 16D nails with snips like these that have only 9 1/4" to 11" handles. They also don't have as much leverage as bolt cutters have. Even small bolt cutters.

I own a bunch of knipex (probably 15-20 hand tools). Honestly the end nippers (carpenters) are functionally identical to my cheap Chinese amazon pair. It's probably one knipex that I wouldn't bother purchasing again if I lost it; and I'm pretty hype about brands that are red.

They function better for pulling nails as opposed to 'nipping' them like some flush end cutters. It's gotta be a softer metal or you just won't have a good time nipping anything through an entire project.

If you're looking to lop off framing nails and such, I'd get the of angled bolt cutters. If you're looking to nip off softer or smaller nails, this is great. But the 7$ ones will do the same.
