More importantly, $900 for a souped up Chromebook?

I have done my research. Are all apps now 100% compatible? Thank you.

You can get an Asus Zenbook S 14 with lunar lake for about the same money. It has a better 3k oled touchscreen, is thinner, lighter, similar build quality, similar battery life, and most importantly, no software compatibility issues.

With Windows 11 24H2 I have yet to run into ANYTHING that didn't run. And since you made the snarky Chromebook comment, you should already know that a browser-based OS can't be compared to Windows.

That's you but I can promise you that it is not the case for everyone.

At the right price, sure, but at this price there are alternatives that are better like one I posted.

Do you actually own and use a Windows PC with an ARM processor? If not, you're just parroting other people's opinions.

So you don't believe in reading reviews at all. You have to try everything yourself? Again at THIS price, why bother? Give me a good reason to pick this over a comparable lunar lake pc at a similar price.

So you have tested every single pc software that has ever been written? If not, then you are going off a small sample size.

Here is one of a few places that lists the softwares working and not working:
https://windowsonarm.org/

Even if it is working but "emulated", it's not working at 100% compared to an x86 machine. Most people who do end up buying these snapdragon PCs know this but they usually only use their laptops for web browsing and basic word/spreadsheet stuff, which works fine for them. This is similar to the people that buy Chromebooks, hence the glorified Chromebook statement.

I've used a lot of software on ARM, so I guess I don't have to rely 100% on someone else's opinion like you do.

If it works for you, great. But that doesn't mean it works for everybody, especially when there's obviously still a long list of software that is not compatible. Again, even if they are compatible doesn't mean they work 100% or work without any slowdown or issues. If you can live with that then fine, but others may not want that experience especially at this price. Again, at this price there are Lunar Lake alternatives just as good or better hardware wise so why would you choose this? You still have not addressed this.

Also, just because it works now doesn't mean a future software will. Imagine if at work, they all of a sudden say you need to run this software VPN (or any other software) but it's not compatible (there are still VPN not working on arm). Until ARM completely takes over like it did with MacOS, there will always be issues so why pay $900 for real potential issues.
