As with any Costco.com item, call your local Costco. In the phone tree, navigate to admin department (usually first option) and ask if they can check if an item # is in-stock, or at a nearby store (will be cheaper).

9900 prestige midnight color is item #1861122 and champagne color is item #1861121

9900 comes with two A3 toothbrush heads via Costco - this is one more than what you would get if you ordered directly from Philips (one A3 head assuming $49.99/6 is at least $8 value which offsets the $9.99 Costco.com shipping charge) - see "What's in the box?" section on https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/HX9990_12/sonicare-9900-prestige-power-toothbrush-with-senseiq [philips.com]

Costco.com orders can be returned to in-store and Costco's return policy is very good.

9900 toothbrush is $239.99 until 12/17/2024. Limit 5 per member.
https://www.costco.com/sonicare-p...02491.html

Take a look at the A3 toothbrush heads (6 count) @ $49.99 ($15 sale until 12/25/24) - for the 9900. Soft stiffness bristles.
https://www.costco.com/philips-so...00896.html

C3 plaque toothbrush heads (8 count, not 6) @ $49.99 ($15 sale until 12/25/24) - compatible for 9900, but mainly for DiamondClean models. Medium stiffness bristles.
https://www.costco.com/philips-so...80641.html

Differences between DiamondClean and the 9900 Prestige:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8XLH17N010

tl;dr
*9900 has power button that has no gap so no toothpaste gunk buildup.
*Different travel case (9900 has USB-C female port on travel case, USB-A male port on DiamondClean travel case).
*USB-A male port on 9900 stand (need power brick) instead of AC power plug on DiamondClean stand

If you want 2x DiamondClean (don't need the fanciest 9900 toothbrush) check out the two-pack at $179.99 ($100 sale until 12/25/24) https://www.costco.com/philips-so...28101.html

All DiamondClean/9900 come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.

Are these really better in terms of cleaning your teeth than other cheaper Sonicare models? I don't need wifi connectivity or other so called smart features.

I think this and DiamondClean are same tier. This just has the SenseIQ thing. You can get any of these (price from high to low) and it should still "work" - keep in mind this post is basically the most expensive mainstream toothbrush for sale at the moment:

Oral B is rotation-based, Sonicare is "sonic" based (the vibrations). I have only had Sonicare but I've been happy with them (I don't even utilize the medium/max intensity)

This is Oral B's top of the line model.

Wish they made this style case for the diamondclean. The diamondclean case is massive and is not travel friendly.

Honestly prefer the diamondclean case (gave it to my mom). The 9900 Prestige is significantly lighter (kinda feels cheap, the diamondclean one feels heavy like a s class door lol). The 9900 Prestige case feels cheap to be honest. I like the rubbery diamondclean one more. Upgraded app experience in the prestige though!

So the Prestige's case does not feel prestigious?

Not at all, could not feel any cheaper. Definitely doesn't feel like a $200+ toothbrush but oh well, I care about the app and day to day more.

Help me understand. I purchased a sonicare 5300 for $54 from Amazon. It has 3 brushing modes, 3 brush heads, case, and charger. It looks like the diamondclean except 3 modes.. seems like a better deal, 2x = $108, so $70 more for 2 charging glasses.

Look up tech specs:
5300 only has 3 modes, no app
https://www.usa.philips.com/c-p/H...l-benefits

DiamondClean has same speed, app, more modes (except SenseIQ)
https://www.usa.philips.com/c-m-p...lean-smart

Prestige has same speed, app, SenseIQ mode that DiamondClean doesn't have

Thanks. So if I buy one of these and use the same brush and the same mode i.e. clean, will they perform the same? In other words, buying a fancier and more expensive brush provides more modes, but the basic modes oerform all the same?

I would think so yeah. I only use the deep clean mode, but if I could brush for longer I would (it feels kinda rushed to me). So if you don't care about the app, then I assume you are getting basically the same performance at least.
