I read people complaining about craftsman online. They fail pretty quickly.
I wonder if these have lifetime return policy from Costco. Any idea?

This drill fails? Or you are just making a general statement about craftsman? Like a craftsman glue gun is crappy… therefore this is? Also, dont think lifetime warranty applies to cordless tools.

I've had this drill for quite a while. I use it for residential purposes and works just fine. No complaints

People buy their brushed tools, then abuse them and complain when they fail. This on is brushless and should work fine.

Craftsman lifetime warranty does NOT apply to [any] powered tools, battery or plug in.
But Costco being the retailer brings up an interesting workaround to be able to return it if it ever fails. (I don't know for sure, just going off of what I've heard)

As long as you are a member and you have a receipt you cannot beat Costco's return policy. Appliances and electronics, car batteries and tires are the exceptions.

Don't even need the receipt most of the time.

I've got both brushed and brushless and they are great tools for the price, they aren't made to build a house but on par with everything else you can buy

People are brand whores. I've had this in a machine shop setting for over 3 years now and it'd held up just fine. Literally drilled thru 1 inch thick steel plate yesterday. Would a mulwaukee be better? Probably but it would also cost more. I doubt anybody is drilling 50 holes thru 1 inch thik steel at home. I had to upgrade to 4ah batteries and I have several, the 1.5 doesn't give much ruh time

Edit. Just read that it's the impact not the drill. Still good for the price.

I am bewildered at how 🤔 grown up adults can be such brand whores. It is ridiculous. I have a tesla, I have a mac. Some of these people, you can't have an impartial conversation with. Yes some things about Tesla are awesome, other things suck. Same goes with mac. Just because of the brand, it doesn't mean they don't put out crappy or overpriced product. Bottom line, we don't owe these companies anything. Get their peckers out of your mouth.
As far as this product goes. I've had this impact for over 3 years. Works fine for home use. I doubt a 3x the price Milwaukee or Dewalt would have done any better.
