Are you illiterate or just purposefully obtuse? We're not talking about liquids are we? See the words "under current screening procedures" directly from the TSA website?
Said the "illiterate or just purposefully obtuse" (more insults? How iNsUfFeRaBlE!).

"In Standard Screening Lane"
"Remove personal electronic devices larger than a cell phone from your carry-on bag and place them into a bin with nothing placed on or under them for X-ray screening. (E.g. laptops, tablets, e-readers and handheld game consoles"

Odd, no wording about "future" in my current quote from TSA's current policy. One of us doesn't need time travel to be right.
Quote :
The future is now [tsa.gov] old man:
"As an added passenger convenience, with the use of these new CT units, travelers may now leave their laptops and other electronic devices in their carry-on bags along with their small 3-1-1 liquids."
When is the last time you've flown young whippersnapper? LOL. Sounds like you are speaking 100% in theory, zero in practice.

And again,to the "illiterate or just purposefully obtuse" why would these SmartScan bags even exist if my documented reality, or your pretend future multiverse version was true? Either way my point remains and you are still just upset for the sake of being upset.

I also travel monthly with two laptops, two portable monitors, and an iPad. TSA never has an issue with it. I doubt it's your electronics that annoy them.
Okay...wink wink. Just mentioning it now after all these insults and pages of rants now you are a frequent flyer. Sure thing kiddo.

Bye bye and enjoy the last word...clearly you need it. Next time you go fly, think about me when you are removing your laptop from your bag LMAO2

Sorry, I don't typically feel the need to brag about how much I travel to the internet world. I have Clear Plus and Global Entry. I also have Star Alliance Gold which often has the shortest line at my home airport but doesn't come with TSA Pre benefits, so I am well aware of how both TTP and regular traveler lines work.

You're the one who said this, which has already been proven false by both TSA links I shared:

Quote from WooHoo2You :
If you aren't going through a Clear, Pre-check, etc checkpoint you always have to remove your laptop from the bag completely and put it in a tray by itself.

There's already 2,000+ CT scanners deployed at US airports. You're clearly not as experienced of a traveler as you think you are.

I don't know, I only fly all over the world (and including countless airports in the US) multiple times per year. I'll be in Paris and Rome for Christmas and New Years, was just in South America 2 months ago. 4-5 other multi destination domestic trips before that (still in 2024)

Not to mention another user who clearly flies more than you also echoed my exact same statement. But let's ignore him / her too.

Clearly someone checks their laptop.Big Grin

BTW, lets ask the TSA:

https://www.tsa.gov/travel/travel...-checklist

"In Standard Screening Lane"
"
Remove personal electronic devices larger than a cell phone from your carry-on bag and place them into a bin with nothing placed on or under them for X-ray screening. (E.g. laptops, tablets, e-readers and handheld game consoles"

And lets pretend your claim was true....then again, what would be the purpose of the "ScanSmart" bag if a laptop required no extra scrutiny??? LOL...logic people logic. Wink
ScanSmart is a scam, TSA either ask you to take your laptop out or keep it inside the bag closed, no third action is permitted.

If you fly bigger airports, sometimes you will see much larger scanner with blue lights, those 3-D scanners can keep everything inside like in UK.

Many US airport TSA CKPTs had upgraded, you just didn't fly enough to FAFO.
I flied way frequent than you do but 98% are US domestics.

Couldn't agree more.

I fly through "bigger" air ports all the time, mainly as connections though. I don't walk out of the terminal and walk back in just so I can needless interact with TSA at places ATL or DFW. Those are pretty much never my destinations. Normally South America , LHR, CDG, etc are going to be my entry and exit points. I'll let you know how CDG goes in 3 days Wink
