Please keep in mind this motherboard does not have onboard wifi (though it has a M.2 Socket (Key E) for a type 2230 WiFi/BT PCIe WiFi module), you'll need to use the onboard 2.5gb lan if you don't purchase a wifi module separately. Depending on desired generation and attributes, decent wifi modules tend to be between $10-$30. Additionally, it only has two memory slots, though that really shouldn't matter to you unless you need more than 64gb of memory (2x32gb dual rank). In fact, only having two slots tends to improve memory overclocking capabilities. Storage is somewhat limited, with only two m.2 slots and 4 sata ports, though at least one m.2 slot is pcie gen5 x4 while the other is gen4 x4. The primary pcie x16 slot is only gen4, though realistically pcie gen5 x16 shouldn't matter much for even the upcoming generation of gpus. Overall io is somewhat limited, though not terrible, and should be sufficient for the average user. The integrated Realtek ALC897 audio solution is also quite low end, though if you want high quality sound you shouldn't be using your motherboards output anyways.
Overall, for a midrange and below build, this motherboard is a very good value. Boards with substantially superior features tend to be at minimum ~$140, and the majority of people probably don't need more than what this board offers. If you're building a basic gaming rig, you'll have a better experience buying a budget board like this and putting the extra $40 towards a better gpu.
For $20 more you can get 4 slots of ram and Wi-Fi

Or this at new egg no Wi-Fi but the heat sinks look better and 4 slots of ram

For the second one (B650M PRO RS) - is it ever worth it to pay extra $20 to install 4 sticks or memory? I thought that CPUs only support dual mode so if you install 4 sticks they'll be combined into pairs anyway and won't give any performance boost. If anything, ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi https://www.newegg.com/asrock-b65...13-162-131 is only $10 more and seems much better choice for those who need wifi/bluetooth.
I just bought this motherboard and paired it with a 9900x using proxmox and a bunch of Virtual Machines I'm having no issues currently. I'm absolutely going to wring every red cent out of this cpu. Maybe extreme overclocking might be an issue, but if you're going that hard, you can either, get another motherboard, or put new heatsinks and rig up a fan to blow on the vrms.
