In for a set for Inspector gadget roleplay with the missus
Dollar tree still has them but they are not as good as these. I use these to pickup hundreds of big sticks in the yard after a storm before I mow.
Buying to keep on my riding lawnmower for dog toy/stick duty

I use a collapsible/folding one these for the same purpose. It fits nicely in the cup holder when folded.

It's Costco. Buy now think later. By the time one decides to buy or regret, just buy it. Will be sold of by the time mind is made up.

The cheap ones broke on me after less than a year and probably less than 20 uses.

Awesome! I had a decent one that recently broke. I knew costco had these in store and was planning to buy some next time I was there.

$0.50 surcharge (5%) for non-members, also with free shipping, if you'd like to purchase anyway.

Harbor Freight has two models of these.

The Three dollar [harborfreight.com] version they give away for free sometimes.

The Eight dollar [harborfreight.com] model.

Over the years I've bought these and the prior 2 iterations of these grabbers. Usually they will break eventually. The jaws will become misaligned or the wire inside will fail to activate with the trigger. So I usually end up having to return them once they break. The birdrock customer service is pretty much non-existent as I have tried to call and email them in the past. My current strategy is just to buy about three sets of these and return them as each pair breaks. I think the three sets will survive me until the next time these are introduced back to Costco which might be like about 2 years from now.
