When doing this deal at Costco, be careful and make sure you see what agent is doing. I did this deal at local Costco yesterday. Agent checked my account and said I can do BOGO lines and order 2 iPhone phones with trade-ins. So, I proceeded. After two new lines added to my account, I didn't receive email asking to authorize 2 new lines. Instead, I got email to view signed documents. Agent said that is not correct one I need to sign. While we were waiting, she proceeded to order two new iPhone 16 and entered trade-in IMEI. I didn't see if she choose the correct promo for $830 credit for each iPhone added to the order. She told me only need to pay sale tax at the spot. After order placed, again I didn't receive email to sign agreement about new 24-month device payment plan for two new phones. On T-Mobile website, it showed "processing" order with 2 new phone with 2 trade-ins. Agent said it should be fine.

This morning, the order is still in "processing" status and I still didn't receive any info (text/email) about the order as well as 24-month payment plan agreement email. Under my account activities, I saw two new lines added, two new sim card order ($0), and a "signed" agreement for two new line services and the charge for each new line, but no document regarding device payment plan for 2 new iPhones. Further check the order details, I saw both iPhones are ordered under one line. No one in customer service team was able to tell me if iPhone trade-in promotion (ID240725) was attached to each iPhone or not. Since I can't see the device payment plan, I was worried that this can screw me up significantly later. I asked T-Mobile to cancel the order as well as two new lines.

I probably will try this deal again after all things settle down.

I just traded in a phone and got a new line (single line, no BOGO) at Costco. I want to keep the number on my existing paid line and am considering the following steps:

1. After activating the new phone with the new number, port my old number to Google Voice and close this paid line.
2. Wait 24+ hours, then port the old number back to the new line.

Since my old paid line doesn't have any promotions or free-line offers tied to it, is there any issue with making this switch? Can I do it 24 hours after porting out, or have to wait 90 days?

Call in was so much easier than dealing with the sales kiosk at Costco. The phone rep was knowledgeable and fast. The sales @ kiosk basically said I couldnt do anything on my plan and needed to upgrade my plan. Just call in. No advantage to going to Costco.

So you were able to call Costco online to take advantage of cash card then turn in the trade-in in-store at T-mobile B&M?

Fyi, for the costco $75 rebate I was asked to submit a rebate request online with promo code 240150, after my phone line is activated.

THANK YOU!! I went to my local costco and it was miserable. No promo, BOGO was on hold, no costco cash card on my plan. Couldnt help me even though I verified my plan was qualified. Went home, read this, called and added 2 lines with BOGO. It was $15 first line and 2nd one was free, but with autodebit, they reduced it to $10. Took 1 phone 16 pro and traded in a Galaxy S9 that I got on ebay for $100, and got $830 credit - $30 trade in and $800 in 24 montly credits. The phone was $1099 and $45.79 monthly so $12.46 monthly plus $10 for 2 lines. Plus one $75 costco card which should offset the monthly line charge until I can cancel. So its a reasonably good offer for a phone 16 pro 256GB for $500 (tax included, ebay trade in cost included - half off). Also, waived activation fees. One really good suggestion my rep made - on the tradein, dont send it in. That takes a while and there is a chance something goes wrong. Go to a local tmobile store - they will check it out right there and give you teh account credit if OK.
I added thru costco/tmobile line today., Do you see all the docs related to promotions in account activity like device promotion code and BOGO promotion codes mentioned. i dont see anything. only i received EIP Agreement to sign which has full cost for the device.

@whodiini - Just for clarification - You were able to get BOGO with trade-in credits? That means you got two iPhone 16 Pro's for $500 only? And also, If you plan to cancel these two lines how will you do that? I am asking this because the terms say "you have to maintain these 2 lines for 2 years".

I went to store to trade in for my Pixel 9 pro xl and was told they can not accept it. So a bit confused. I think you have to go to T-mobile ONLY store not authorized reseller.. is that correct? This is the part that I might have missed.

I was able to stack the BOGO line with the trade in credit for a new phone. I only asked for one 16 Pro, so I got one phone for net cost about $500. I am not planning to cancel these lines. I am planning on canceiling 2 other lines i am paying for $10 a month each when I can do so next year and then port their numbers over to these BOGO lines. There is a minimum amount of time one needs to wait before canceling any lines on your plan, so i will wait that minimum time. Some other poster said next October.

Go look on your account online. You should see the promos attached to the new lines with promo code IDs. I did that and verified that the 2 promos were entered into my account.

Wanted to give $300 for my iPhone 13 in new condition, 256G, not sure where they get "up to $800" for an iPhone 13.
They give bill credits, plus take $99 up front, where's the deal?

Has anyone done BOGO on their Simple Choice plan with 10+ lines? I have 10 lines on SC plan and my plan does qualify, but T-Mobile initially said i could add 2 more lines and now saying max. is 10 lines.
As state in the op, just saying SC is meaningless; there are many variations of the plan. Get your SOC, search https://soc.quest/ or https://www.reddit.com/r/tmobile/ for the SOC. The max lines may be listed already.

Go look on your account online. You should see the promos attached to the new lines with promo code IDs. I did that and verified that the 2 promos were entered into my account.
New phone number is not yet added on the account . Order status shows 2 phones and trade in details. Will check later . Thanks .
