Quick gut math, adding BOGO will make your ONE plan 4 paid and 6 free lines. 10 lines ONE is $300 - 6 x $30 = $120 before insider and other discounts. Up to you if it's worth it.
Correction: My current plan is $112 for 3 paid lines and 5 free lines.

If I add two more lines (one of which is free), it will cost me $25/month, minus a $10 autopay discount ($5 for each new line). This makes the true cost $15/month for an additional paid line.

I would need to keep that new paid line active for 2 years to qualify for a new iPhone, which adds up to $360 ($15/month x 24 months).
The value of my current iPhone 13 Pro is $400 (which I was planning on using as trade-in)(based on what I could sell it for in the marketplace).
So, the total cost of this deal would be $760 ($360 for the line + $400 for the iPhone).

In exchange, I get $1,000 in credit over 2 years, net gain of $240 after 2 years. Plus, I would have 2 extra lines—which I don't really need.

My question is: Is it worth going through this hassle for a $240 savings?

ONE Plan$112.00/mo

Applied discounts and promotions:
$10 AutoPay Discount
$24 Insider Discount
$30 AutoPay Discount (Additional Lines)
$20 Line Discount ID200012 (Additional Lines)
$20 Line Discount ID200008 (Additional Lines)
$4 Insider Discount (Additional Lines)
$20 Line Discount ID200011 (Additional Lines)

Read the link I shared in the original reply. The key point you are missing here is that those 5 $20 free line discounts become 5 $30 free line discounts when the SOC changes to 9+ SOC. Adding 1 line or BOGO saves you $50 - $30 (cost of 1 line or BOGO) = $20 savings per month. Like I said in my previous reply, your new plan cost would be $120 before any discounts or insider.

To your current plan. Unlikely. Support can manually add the original and best insider EMPFNBM to your account [reddit.com], but only if they messed up somewhere big.

If you want Insider, leave and come back as a new customer. Go5G+ 3 line package is $150, and add a BOGO lines promo for $185. Add the insider discount and the price goes to $148. Then add your tablet line and the price should come out to what you are paying now. Only now you have Insider, and Go5G+ gives you more promotions to upgrade your phones for free. Plus whatever new customer gift cards they give out.

Glad you got the data services canceled and amount credited. As I mentioned earlier, I will be on the look out for the additional charges. I hope my service rep did it right, since I confirmed him the total additional monthly amount twice - and it was only for the device fee - credits + one additional line cost.

And sucks that we can't get the phone unlocked for 2 years. But I will use a different unlocked phone when I travel overseas.

Quote from whodiini :
I did call today, and had to request to speak to a supervisor. The agent could not understand my request to cancel the data services only and kept saying that I wanted to cancel the 2 new BOGO lines. That of course would have canceled the credits, so I requested to speak to a supervisor. Took a while to clear up the misunderstanding, as the agent repeated to him that I wanted to cancel the new lines. I got the data services canceled and the amount credited for both the monthly bill and mid-cycle services. The credit showed up immediately but the services are still there. i may have to wait another bill cycle (one month) to verify.

Edit: I verified these items: 1) you must keep all your phone lines for 1 year to continue to qualify for the credits and BOGO. 2) The services add on is not required. 3) You cannot get your promo phone unlocked for 2 years. To get it unlocked, you must pay it off. If you pay it off, you lose all your future credits,. This services upcharge must be automatic as the rep did not know about the upcharge. I read a post earlier in this thread that mentioned this upcharge, and to reject it. So anyone who tries to get a BOGO line should mention that they do not want the data services with these new lines when they get new service.

i was told auto pay discount is up to 8 lines, $40 max only. so my 9th and 10th line are not eligible for the auto pay discount.. .not sure if it is how the system code, will wait for the system to update my account to tell... so did u go for the BOGO? per ouloat reference, i am hoping the overall cost will be less.

What is Tmobile policy for adding a line when the line is ported out?
Can the ported out line be added back in 30 days? or do we need to wait for 90 days for the line to be under a promotion?

Just got this deal today. I traded in note 10+ for 830 then added 2 lines to my plan under the bogo offer. Then i paid the difference amount + tax(i didnt need to but wanted to keep bill credits simple). For the upgrade, i will get 100$ costco card, for 2 new lines, i will get $75 each. A total of $250 value. Adding both, i get the phone for $120 + taxes. The downside is i have to pay for the additional line for a few months atleast. Im on magenta plan which is 5 yr old. Its reasonably good deal. No data plans/internet added or even discussed during the whole time i was with them. It was a simple transaction

Wait how did you qualify for $100 Costco GC on the upgrade? Upgrade means the promo is applied to an existing line correct? Wasn't the iphone credit require it to be applied to opening a new line?

You're right. He did tell me that upgrade is only on new numbers. But he entered ZTE max and an Alcatel phone on both the new lines. He did the new lines first and then tagged upgrade to replace one of those ZTE/Alcatel

You're right. He did tell me that upgrade is only on new numbers. But he entered ZTE max and an Alcatel phone on both the new lines. He did the new lines first and then tagged upgrade to replace one of those ZTE/Alcatel
Nice. Pretty good workaround.

I called T-Mobile about adding this deal to my account and for some reason a rep changed my old plan, any way to change back? Anyone have had luck with this?

Glad you got the data services canceled and amount credited. As I mentioned earlier, I will be on the look out for the additional charges. I hope my service rep did it right, since I confirmed him the total additional monthly amount twice - and it was only for the device fee - credits + one additional line cost.

And sucks that we can't get the phone unlocked for 2 years. But I will use a different unlocked phone when I travel overseas.
I called T-mobile again today to verify if the Costco $75 rebate was automatically submitted and now was told that it needed to be submitted, I asked what was the promo code and was told it was ID240150. But when I looked on the web site, it says
"Costco Activate ID240150
Purchase an eligible device on a monthly payment plan in participating Costco Warehouse locations, have or move to a qualifying plan and save $150 when you activate a new line, save $100 when you upgrade, save $75 when you activate with BYOD or save $25 on eligible Home Internet and Mobile Internet activations via Costco Virtual Shop Card with online redemption." "Get $150 when you activate a new line on Go5G Plus or Go5G Next after rebate with Costco Virtual Shop Card with finance agreement."

So since I do not have a Go5G plan, it seems I am only eliglble for $75 if I activate with BYOD. Can anyone who submitted the $75 rebate verify that this is the correct promo code? Has anyone had their rep submit this or did you submit this yourself? (I only see one posting that confirms this ID).

Curious if someone can tell me when I would need to take care of the Costco GCs?

My friend had added two lines to his account with the BOGO promo, we've already traded in two Samsung Galaxy phones at the T Mobile store for that and the phones arrived with him today. We haven't filled out the Costco GC promo yet though and I don't have my TMO account activated yet, so I am wondering if that needs to be done right away or if that will still be okay to be done in a couple of days/in 2025?

Thanks
