By the waterside I will lay my head
Listen to the river sing sweet songs
To rock my soul
truth is that black vinyl can suck sometimes too
If you want to geek out on collectable copies vs player copies, the rabbit hole is much deeper than anything you're likely to learn on slickdeals

Why no bueno?
I've heard typically poor quality on color vinyls…something about the process. if you're an audiophile and buying vinyls for the audio fidelity you might want to pass. If you're buying decoratively then it's fine.

It's irresponsible to post something as broad as this.

Seems like the quality is hit or miss by reading the reviews here:

Edit: rereading your remark about audio fidelity it seems you meant it as more of a warning than a condemnation. I apologize if I misquoted you. As the posts above mentioned "broad" and "rabbit hole", I find that to be all too accurate. There are over 100 pressings of this album from various countries/years. I wanted to give some audiophile alternatives (granted they cost over 2 to 3 times as much). Whoever mastered the record has as much influence or more on the sound as how it was pressed. This Target version uses a Chris Bellman cut (one of the best mastering engineers) but splatter vinyl does have potential drawbacks (I probably should have stricken "slightly" when mentioning elevated noise floor). Instead of a pizza analogy think in terms of Netflix streaming. All things being equal, a Netflix stream (splatter vinyl) won't have the bit rate of a 4k Blu-ray disc (black vinyl) but one will only notice if their playback equipment and senses are acute enough. So yeah I don't mean to stop anyone from purchasing this and I've rambled on enough. If that doesn't explain the thumbs down then c'est la vie.

Irresponsible to ask a question? Keep clutching those pearls…
I own records but wouldn't be surprised if I come off as an amateur as I'm no aficionado by any means. I'd say you are coming off a bit elitist but what do I know I am some lowly idiot who says vinyls in the plural.
