Wasn't sure that this awesome little toaster over would get below $100 again... but it is with the $25.50 coupon. I just bought it for $99.49 after coupon plus tax.

Plus I used my Amazon Store card to get it delivered after Christmas for 8% back.

Is this really made by Panasonic or third party like GE appliance these days?

Not sure what you mean... pretty sure it's a Panasonic design as I haven't seen anything like it under other brands, but Rufus says it is made in China.

GE consumer appliances are made by Haier.

Tempted to buy just to stick on the shelf for 5 years until/if my current one dies. Then again, I'm just on my second one that I got last year. First one burnt out a bulb after ~10 years.

Gets used daily as a toaster, and a few times a week for grilled cheese kind of stuff. Make biscuits or scones in it every 10 days or so. Occasionally I'll make a cake or cornbread in it. Fast, versatile, and doesn't heat up my kitchen in our 100°+ summers.

[Edit] Crap, now I'm really torn. There's a newer model showing up on Amazon for $20 more with a dial (the buttons are embedded in my muscle memory). Wonder if they are pushing the last of these out of inventory.

Love this, we have had it for 10 years and use it 2-5 times per day. Toast, chicken nuggets, pizza, cake, quesadillas, fries, literally anything!

The claim to fame for this oven, it reheats things without drying out. It reheats pizza well.

Love this little toaster.

One thing we have found is that when toasting bread, leave the toast in for a minute or 2 after it cuts off. It is the way it heats, the toast will continue to brown more.

And needs no preheating!

this was a great toaster oven in that it toasted and cooked really well

after a couple years, one of the heating elements burnt out and the on off switch got tempermental. it still worked ok though.
i wouldnt have minded if it were just a bit larger. a drop too small to cook a pizza in.

i think there was a slightly larger model for a time but it wasn't around long

Because GE sold their entire appliance division to Haier including the name. Panasonic hasn't sold any parts of itself off.

Ours is just a couple months short of 10 years old. Best toaster in terms of toast I've ever had. Great versatility too. not sure the expected lifespan, so it is tempting to get it and save until needed.

Highly recommend.

I'm fairly certain this is a Panasonic proprietary design and, in fact, I'm not aware of Panasonic allowing their name for rebranding on any consumer electronics/appliances. That said, Consumer Reports gave it a 62 rating, which is in the very good range, but only good enough for 18th place overall. Still a good deal at this price point, though.

At 17.5 years with mine, my spouse thought I was crazy to buy it for $83 back then. From my understanding it went away for a bit, and they brought it back because people realized it was a good performer with great reliability. But, the subsequent models aren't quite as reliable.

it is Panasonic, and is very similar to a model sold in Japan. So maybe made by a third-party but first party quality.

Ours is 11 years old and still being used everyday, great for warming up pizza, fried chicken, etc. We actually bought a 2nd one a long time ago b/c we heard that they weren't gonna make it and we love this thing so much; so the 2nd one has been sitting in storage. Well worth the money. Can't speak to the quality of these re-released ones though.

Like many have already said, this is the best toaster I have owned. Also like many mine has performed perfectly for over ten years, but now the toast button is starting to not work so time to buy another.

Fun fact, I bought the first one "used" as a warehouse deal for about $100 in 2014.

Here we are ten years later and I'm buying a new one for less - great deal.
