This game would probably go out of print before dropping lower. My opinion is to get now rather than later.. For those who care about physical games.

This was released in June this year. Would it really run out of print within one year of release? I would think there is a chance for it to hit lower than $30 next year, although it would probably mean the sale will last much shorter with the number of copies being available being lower.

Target is already showing Sold Out. And that was before this Amazon sale.
I just price matched with BestBuy. As BestBuy had free shipping for tomorrow. While Amazon was showing just after Christmas on Boxing Day/December 26th. And now it's saying December 30 - Jan 9th as the fastest. Also just noticed BestBuy price went down from $39.99 to $35.99. It wasn't on sale earlier. Now if only I could find Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door (for me) and Super Mario Party Jamboree (for my sister) on sale. Only sale I saw was through Woot! which I won't use since they started not being transparent on what version they are selling in their listings. Been seeing people comment in the forums saying they been getting Middle Eastern/South East Asia region copies. Even though their listings use pictures of the U.S. release. Ever since they added the disclaimer about consoles and games being region free. Also saw a sale through Fred Meyer, during Black Friday, but we don't have that here. And it was in store only.

Yeah. I hear ya. I'm buying the last few Switch games in the final leg of the software releases for the system. A lot of the good ones will eventually stop being on the shelves and they'll quickly shoot up in value since there will be a good number of people who will be hit by surprise in addition to people just getting into the series/games and finding out it's out of print. I remember Twilight Princess for Gamecube being on sale for $40 with people saying it doesn't make sense to get it when it's out for Wii. Today, sealed copies go for around $400 laugh out loud

Previous Ace Attorney is OOP $29.99 after BF. Not sure it still re-print or not. Seem like Ace Attorney Investigations collection will be the same boat.

Not to mention that with the Migswitch and UnlockSwitch backup tools there are going to be a lot of fake cartridges on the used market and Grey "new" markets. In other words now is the the time to buy legit physical copies from trust worthy retailers.

Buying it now for 3 reason:
  1. The game is essentially remade with new HD graphics (not just upscaled), quality of life changes and bonus content, and a brand new localization for the 2nd game. So while it's 2 games rather than 3 in the previous collections, they definitely put more effort into creating this package.
  2. $30 for this amount of content is a steal and chances of the item going out of print with the switch 2 around the corner are more likely. 3DS games released at the end of the console's life jumped up in price significantly instead of going down.
  3. Support the devs and encourage Capcom to continue the series from buying from Capcom's amazon store.
