Seems like a good deal. I really didn't need any of the combo items from the Costco/Sam's deal anyway. I plan on using 3rd party accessories.

The battery handle is not included which is another $70. The last deal was $400 new with extras so I would probably just wait for that again.

Nice deal if you actually get a DJI Osmo cam. Got a Chinese knock off in a box that was returned to Amazon in a buy and return scam. Needed it for a trip to the Caribbean and didn't chance another order.

Pocket 3 is a very popular camera with a wide range of 3rd party support. It all depends on what you need. I like Tilta, but I use more professional attachments. Ulanzi makes quality Pocket 3 accessories as well.

For those trying to decide between the base and creator combo, the battery handle and microphone alone make up the difference in price.

how can you tell if it's a knockoff or not?! I didn't even consider this. I was able to snag one, so I'll do a diligent check once I get it and can report back

damn, I had a 2nd Creator Combo in my shopping cart which stated 13 qty left (yes -- they had refilled the original qty); and while I was shopping for other items, by the time I clicked Pay, the 2nd one was gone.

lesson learned -- items in your shopping cart are NOT reserved until you purchase it! so don't wait to shop for other items if you have one that's a hot sale.
