i remember when i purchased a 32" Sharp Aquos 720P TV from Best buy the week Halo 3 came out... for $750... It was a really good deal then... God Bless tech progress...
Unfortunately all the 32" and under TVs suck in this aspect. Best remedy is to put a current streaming stick to run your apps.
We can pay $100 for a TV but a million $ for a house. I'm not sure I like where this is going.

How to use it as monitor for computer, not gaming. I'm learning, please advice, TIA.
Use an HDMI cable connecting HDMI port on computer to HDMI port on TV.

I got one from electronic express. I used a coupon code DEC5 and got it for 93 dollars no tax. This is probably best way to get it than open box

People will pay $100 for a 1080p 32", but when I try to sell my 3 year old 4K 42", no one on marketplace wants to spend more than $50, lmao!

I guess just because this almost 7 year old model is Samsung brand, it's considered a hot deal? $99 can also get you a 2024 Hisense 1080p w/Roku https://www.bestbuy.com/site/hise...Id=6577819

The Hisense, easily. Direct lit screen, 3 HDMI inputs vs 2, 2024 Roku instead of proprietary Samsung "smart" from 2018 that may or may not get software updates or have access to as many apps as Roku. The ONLY advantage I see is the 100x100 VESA on the Samsung vs the slightly weird 100x200 on the Hisense.
Nice thin bezel on the Hisense too. The Sammy looks chunky haha. TCL also makes a nice 32" 1080 set. Got one for my parent a couple years back.

I remember about 25 years ago, a nice flat panel display would set you back $20,000, a decent house could be had for $100,000. 5X the price back then versus 10,000X the price today.
That would've been a gimmick. A sony engineering flat screen CRT at 2400res would've been 2,500 (THE best) . An when flat screen crt 1080i went to best buy they were about $1000 (for the best) . An no one would've bought a flat panel cause it looked worse than a van gogh painting to watch till a while after 2010. I was still using engineering crt till 4k came out.

Is hisense like a million times better now? Last time I bought one it was like a water color painting someone was continually dumping water on to move the colors 🤣

Hisense is a good value brand, similar to TCL.

Not at all. We had one. It looked great. The price at $20K in 90s money was obviously high, at least $50K in today's money equivalent, but if you had the cash it was exceptional.
