Seeing $359.99 (for 8TB) directly from Samsung, with an edu account. Plus a free 128GB PRO Ultimate SDXC Card and Reader. https://www.samsung.com/us/comput...ph8t0s-am/
Fixed. It wasnt the egg nog but the dyslexia
I personally use a thunderbolt enclosure for my ssd. Not sure about real life performance, but in testing, it's a lot faster than a usb c enclosure.

Trying to understand the differences between all of the Samsung T-series drives. This is the closest I've gotten:

According to some random reddit post, people are saying the T7 outperforms the T9?

It also seems like the video editing / capturing community is the targeted user.

I also would like to know if it's shuckable, and if so, what's inside, if anybody knows.

the 4TB one was about $30 more or so around Black Friday, under $200 is a good price for a 4TB Samsung external SSD

I got this for $194

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B25M8...PDKIKX0DER

Still looking for an enclosure but I think I'll get a $10 one from Orico

That should be a better solution than this prebuilt, correct?

According to some posts/reviews, this SSD is really slow, like 4-500mbps slow.

I'm curious abut the same. Can anybody comment? Are these 2280 SSDs in an enclosure just as fast as purpose-built external SSDs or even faster?
