That being said, hopefully people who bought this on Black Friday see this post to get their $100 back.

12v can do 90% of whatever a homeowner needs to do. I hardly ever use my Milwaukee 18v stuff after buying 12v skil tools a few years ago.

I held off at $200, which was already a steal, but couldn't at $150.

I had already purchased an M12 drill/impact kit for my mom for Christmas, but this will be replacing that.

This one includes more tools but will be less powerful. A big thing is that if you need something else, flex will be relatively expensive compared to skil 12v. If you do not have a project in mind that would require the flex, I think this is a better option honestly

You'll get more power with 20v. Depends what you're using them for… 12v is for lighter use

Totally agree, I reach for my 12V tools before the heavier 18-20V variety. The Milwaukee 12V line is especially light weight and functional. I still have several Nextec from when Sears was selling them at give away prices. This Skil set is a great deal.
