I didn't necessarily need these, but I picked up a pair. There great for the price. I'm not an audiophile, and I'm actually losing my hearing at the higher frequencies, but online reviews confirm that they sound good for the sub-$100 category. I'll be trying them out an upcoming flight, but I can recommend them for now.

Bought one during bf for the 29 and returned the second day, there is no noise cancellation at all, a plane was passing by and i could hear everything of it. It is definitely not xm4 or bose level, don't buy in for the 90% function for 10% of the price thing, it is not even 50% and it is cheap for a reason.

How would you rate the noise cancellation?

My two strawpennies: Note that we're talking budget headphones here, for $80 or less, so everything I say is in that context. There's a reason the price went down for this JLab immediately after its debut. It started at $80, but could instantly be found for almost half -- no special sale -- on the regular. With special sales such as this, even lower.
Why? Honest reviews will show you. Gotta know which reveiws are honest, though. I don't trust Soundguys much anymore, as thier reviews have become too generous, and Tomsguide is straight up shilling now. Techradar & Howtogeek seem more balanced to me, at least by comparison and by degree:
https://www.techradar.com/audio/h...anc-review
https://www.howtogeek.com/jlab-jb...es-review/
Key take-aways for me include: No onboard controls, kind of "meh" sound, even when trying to compensate via EQ; (though you might like it if you're a pure bass head & don't care about the rest) It lacks treble & has a flat choppy sound quality, and there's zero support for high-res audio codecs (SBC only). These are the main reasons I didn't go for it.
So, for the original MSRP of 80, hells no. For 45 bucks you're probably getting your money's worth even with all its limitations. For 30 bucks on special sale (which will no doubt come around again) it's a great bargain, better than anything, anywhere that I know of, at that price point.
Finally, with patience & research, I think it's possible to find something significantly better, even between that $45 -- $80 price range, either new or refurbished.
Happy hunting!

I put them on without any sound playing through the headphones but my TV playing at normal listening volume. It blocked most of the sound and it's obvious when it's on or off. For $30, it works pretty well.

Price on this keeps fluctuating. I missed out during BF sale when all colors were $29. So I saved it in my WM App and kept checking. A week or so ago the smoke color dropped to $29 and I purchased it (wanted mauve for my daughter). During this time I saw the price of mauve also drop down to $29, but was out of stock at that price for me. So if you want to buy for $29, keep checking routinely and one or all the colors will drop to that price at some point. Haven't used it (will give to my daughter for Christmas) so can't comment on the quality. She has the Bose QC45 for a nicer NC set - she has sensitive ears/hearing so wanted something that she could comfortably place on her ears when she goes to theatres to watch movies and it would reduce the crazy volumes they have at theatres. Don't want her Bose getting covered in popcorn butter 😃

I ordered a set for pickup at Target. For $30, I don't expect anything other than a set of wireless headphones to try out to see if I actually like wireless headphones.
