Really no good reason to go for this vs one of the TCL or Hisense 98 inch TVs that go for around $1500 on sale.

Unless you just really like the Samsung TV ecosystem over Google TV

When I saw that 98" tv's were becoming affordable, I was excited to see one in person. They had one at Sam's, but honestly it didn't feel that much bigger than the 85" next to it.
I am thinking of going back to the original plan of waiting a year for a 4k laser projector and a 150" or so screen.

Only downsize with projector is daylight. The picture quality is terrible unless it's in a dark room.
