Doesn't seem to be any notebookcheck reviews of this specific companies version of this laptop but they do have other laptops with reviews.

Eluktronics itself is a Clevo reseller and Clevo has been making computers and laptops for pretty much every company since 1983. They are one of the less than half dozen companies worldwide that actually design and build laptops whereas nearly every other company you buy from most likely is just using a Clevo model that they've rebadged or made minor changes to.

If you buy from Eluktronics directly instead of amazon there is a "Free Offers" (https://www.eluktronics.com/gift-offers) section of their website where they throw in some extra stuff based on how much you're spending total.

Just wanted to say these guys are an outstanding company, when I was laptop hunting years ago they were unbeatable for price of components I was looking at, so I gave them a shot, excellent build quality and excellent customer service, when I had a minor issue that developed I let them know and they fixed it no problems going above and beyond what I expected to make sure it was better than new.

Finally one of these with a 1440p screen. So many of the 4070 laptops still have 1080p screens.
Better off with a 1080p. The performance loss is massive in some newer games and the 8gb 4070 laptop model leaves quite a bit to be desired in many games at 1440p, but runs really great at 1080p.

They used to all be 1440p's paired up with the 4070 originally, and then they started changing many to 1080p screens later on because it suits the 4070 better.

Funny story, for years when I saw these deals for this brand I thought it was Electrolux, the vacuum cleaner company. Thought that was an odd way to diversify their business.

I cancelled the HP deal from Best Buy ($917.99) and went with this ($979.02...there was some discount, no sales tax, and, while smaller, the better screen and more HD space)

I paid with a US Bank credit card with electronic stores selected as 5% for the quarterly category.

Eluktronics make some of the most powerful notebook/laptop computers money can buy. They're in the same league as Sager, Eurocom, and XMG. They start with Clevo and Tongfang white label platforms, and then customize them further. It's not just branding; they have a collaboration with Prema for the BIOS/EUFI customization, for example.

I have only had to do one RMA with Eluktronics, and it was due to a power surge that fried the Ethernet jack, not any fault of Eluktronics. The machine has run flawlessly, both before and after the repair.

They're the only manufacturer I'd consider if I had to buy another laptop tomorrow. The water cooling is legit. Their attention to details and openness to feedback from the community has impressed me.

Just throwing this out there to educate everyone calling this a "no-name brand".

If you want the extra storage and ram, it's not bad. A 2tb nvme starts around $100, 64gb (32gb x2 ddr5 sodimm) starts around $150. You'd have to install it as well. So already $50 more over the $1000, or $50 less over the barebone but you'd still need an OS license. You could probably sell the existing 16gb/1tb off the $1000 model but thats a lot of effort for what probably won't equate to much savings.

Unlike the microcenter Lenovo deal this one has an igpu as well, which should help with battery life when on the go.

Could use some input, I'm not knowledgeable in computers. How does this laptop compare with this one?

GPU is weaker as @vbp6us mentioned but slightly larger/higher res screen, more powerful CPU, 2x the ram, 1080p webcam vs 720p. So depends on your use case. If you primarily want to game, this is better. If you want more balanced/mix usage/longer warranty, probably the Costco one.

Worth the extra 200$ for the 64gb ram? I probably won't need the extra terabyte on the hard drive, mostly just for gaming.

This looks like a fantastic deal. Any reports on the speed of the ryzen 7 versus i7 real life in this configuration?

The thing that's really stopping me right now is the 1440p screen. I wonder what the performance difference is between a 4070 with this screen vs a 4060 at 1080p or 1200p.

The other laptop I'm looking at is the Acer Predator Helios from Best Buy https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer...Id=6576933

That one is 1200p and a 4060 though. It's also $50 more but I think it has a better cpu (i9 14900) and connections than this eluktroniks one.I think the Acer also has a 16" screen and 4 zone RGB keyboard.

Anybody have any input on what to get?

The other thing is if I'm going to spend $1050 for the Acer Predator why not spend an extra $150 on top of that and get this one with 64GB RAM and 2TB hard drive lol...I feel like the Acer is overpriced by $50 and should be the same price as this deal.

Wait...you mean to tell me this isn't top of the line technology for $1k?

Thanks but it being the 7435 means it has no integrated gpu. So the 4070 would always be on. I don't really know if that's such a terrible thing since I'd always have it plugged in but it really irks me regardless lol.
