Can I be your fourth son?
If you want Max Output and/or more Amp hours, HD has a deal on 8 Ah EXP with 21700 cells. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGI.../325654041

Home Depot dropped the price of the 2 pack to $149. It was a "Special Buy" for $179 in the Black Friday ads but I guess they still have excess inventory a week before xmas.

These batteries are great simply because they have a lifetime service agreement. Don't even need to own Ridgid tools if you use an adapter and then they can work with other tool ecosystems that way. Also for under $10/Ah for 18/20V batteries, this seems to be the starting price for good battery deals, though better deals can be had but none with the above mentioned lifetime service agreement.

Ive been waiting on a 12 AH bat sale, but idk if i would ever even need a single 12 AH? Ik it increases performance but for a DIY/homeowner will I ever need that? This seems like an excellent deal

I think the 8AH deals are a better price point if you're looking for longevity. They just had a two pack for $169 around black Friday. I have plenty of Ridgid batteries, and generally I just slap a 4AH or 6AH in a tool and go to work, and I hardly ever think of the battery life even with those

Any links to quality adapter for B&D 20V tools? I had one off Amazon but it only lasted less than a year and didn't fit that great to start.

I think the outdoor power equipment would probably benefit from those the most. The leaf blower and weed whacker blow through batteries so fast, if guess the big boys would get you through more of a job

If you ice fish and use a drill/auger combo a 10ah and higher is your best friend, lol. But for the average person, probably helpful if you have any of their yard tools
