But the specs are not clear on the 4k@240hz support and reviewers claim issues with getting that rate working or having it utilize the discrete graphics card instead of the CPU's on board graphics.

Took it to tech support and before I pulled it out of my bag, I was asked, "it's the oval one isn't it?"
Apparently, suddenly death of this dock was a common issue people brought to them. They told me it had such a high failure rate that they pulled it from the catalog a few months after I got mine.
It worked great while it lasted. Some of my coworkers that started before me still have this dock with no issues so it may be luck of the draw.
