I see this going lower now that the Roland P-6 is out. The normal price of the P-6 is $219 and has more functionality (resampling and granular).
For those of you that are not quite ready to buy a physical sampler, go purchase Koala Sampler for $5 for your phone/tablet of choice. While you are at it, get the Samurai add-on for $4 and you will have more functionality than most dedicated samplers in a very approachable yet powerful app. And it is on a device that you likely always carry so you are more likely to tinker in your spare time.

I remember watching a video on this. If I had any experience I would buy it but just no time to delve in these days :/

watched the video it looks super cool... but too much for me. I like the retro NES styling, whether that was intentional or not Smilie

For those starting out with samplers, the PO-33 would be an easier (and cheaper) starting point... I used it for a few months before stopping. I'm sure the same would happen here so passing on this.

Step 1: buy stuff

If you have an android tablet or ipad, get Koala Sampler for $5 to see if you enjoy the sampler workflow. It works on phones too, but tablets are much easier due to the ample screen real estate.
There is definitely something to be said for dedicated hardware devices. They are distraction free, and provide a tactile experience. Both a pretty big deal. That said, I'm not making money making music, and Koala is pretty awesome. That's why I haven't splurged on a hardware sampler.

I'm not able to replicate the deal. I got to the final stage of checkout, and it still wants me to pay 299.00 plus tax.

Is it dead?
