Debating if I should take advantage of the usual Amazon offer this year since I may be able to do my taxes on my family member's computer if they are able to get the desktop version.

i never seem to qualify for this, i did the amazon deal, unsure if you can prepare other family members taxes (parents) with online version anyway.
Have a TurboTax expert do your taxes for you from start to finish, file with expert help, or file on your own – save 25% however you choose to file.

It appears that for 2024, they neutered the deal considerably. As far as we know, no one has received the offer to download the Premier desktop version, and the deal is now likely online only, available in January.
The discount of 25% or 30% off is a red herring. That discount is universally available, and has no value since the discounted price is more than street price.
