Comparing to the $199 Bose you linked on Amazon, the 550 is the better option; the one on Amazon is a lower end model (though based on similar speaker components). The 550 has 3.0.2 channels (vs 2.0), Dolby Atmos, and adds upward aiming speakers. Can't say anything about the Sony.

Love the idea of this one and just wish it came w/a sub as I don't want my soundbar even attempting to rattle. This would be perfect though in my bedroom

Thanks so much. I don't know much about soundbars and little about speakers
Sonos doesn't have up firing Atmos speakers of you care about height. I would probably lean Bose. This version is a Costco version of 600, which lacks voice assistant support
What's the reason for down voting? I have Vizio soundbar and wants to know if it will be good to switch to this soundbar or not! As per RTings, Vizio M21aH6 performs better than this Bose soundbar.
Well the same could be said for a soundbar, you're not really getting a true Atmos performance/experience.

If it has upward doing speakers, it can do Atmos. Will it sound as good as a dedicated system with an AVR? No. But Atmos nonetheless. The Samsung 990 and there's a JBL that have wireless 2 way up-firing speakers give you four full channels of Atmos for a 9.1.4 or 11.1.4 setup. Probably better than what 90% of people have in their home.
