Your not legally allowed to transport refilled cylinders, as they're not rated for that. For safety and legal purposes you might want to buy reusable tanks rated for being refilled. They're a bit expensive, but they do occasionally go on sale.

Well, putting yourself "at risk" is much different than some third party.

The delivery drivers cant be expected to be trained/certified in the transport of all hazardous materials.

If you go boom it's on all you.

You'd be better off getting a refill nozzle and refilling from your bigger tank. Just need the nozzle and obviously have to have some empty small bottles

...I'll leave 4 of them in each of my 4 blinds so if my big tanks run out I can run these. And once I use a couple I'll refill them and restock them as needed.

I didn't think it was that convoluted.

Thanks! In for 1 order. I use these for my Mr Heater Buddy Heater. I know we're not supposed to refill these. But I always use a scale when I refill and make sure I'm putting in 15oz max when I refill them. And I always keep these stored indoors in the basement where moisture/rust isn't an issue.

From what I understand the metal is super thin on these disposable canisters compared to the refillable ones.

But I'm curious. Has a failure happened due to refilling them? If so, what happens? It leaks and freezes up whatever it sprays on? And if it's next to an open flame when it leaks, it becomes a flamethrower?

I have some that have sat around full for 20 years, others that I've refilled 30+ times over the past 15 years. I'd say as long as theyre stored properly, no reason they can't last 25-50 years.

I've been trying to collect these as a backup option when they become illegal to purchase in California. Sadly, most of the Walmarts in my area now have zero stock (I finished them off). I have already bought the refillable tanks, but haven't found time to try it yet.
