Various Retailers have Happy: Why More or Less Everything is Absolutely Fine (eBook) on sale for $0.99.

Thanks to Deal Hunter phoinix for finding this deal.

Available retailers:Product Details:
  • Author: Derren Brown
  • Print Length: 567 pages
  • In Happy Derren Brown explores changing concepts of happiness - from the surprisingly modern wisdom of the Stoics and Epicureans in classical times right up until today, when the self-help industry has attempted to claim happiness as its own. He shows how many of self-help's suggested routes to happiness and success - such as positive thinking, self-belief and setting goals - can be disastrous to follow and, indeed, actually cause anxiety.
  • Happy aims to reclaim happiness and to enable us to appreciate the good things in life, in all their transient glory. By taking control of the stories we tell ourselves, by remembering that 'everything's fine' even when it might not feel that way, we can allow ourselves to flourish and to live more happily.

You can't critique a book you haven't read. Titles are to get your attention. The content of any book is far more complex. It doesn't take much to insist anything. Are you not happy with books that share ideas about happiness?

Laughing at it requiring 567 pages to insist everything is fine in the world. Bobby McFerrin did it in less than 4 minutes.

If you can simply think "don't worry be happy" and then you're happy, I envy your simple mind.

I want to use my No-Rush credit. But this book, unlike other Kindle eBooks, cannot use my credit.

Does it work for you guys?

For a second I thought you said Pharrell Williams, to which I'd say I prefer Tacky by Weird Al.

Showing my age that Pharrell's song didn't even pop into my head. And I agree that Weird Al is the best of all three artists
