Not a movie junkie, just picked one up to replace a 2500 dollar Samsung 85" that my son threw the remote through. 100% not buying high end ever again. Rather buy 5 of these. If they don't last as long, so be it

I'd rather have a fire tv over google or vizio all day. Matter of fact the one fire tv I have runs much smoother than my roku as well

Sure, it's a cheapo Insignia with little to offer, but who would have thought we'd ever see an 85" tv for $600? Buy now, since there are dark days ahead.

I think it ends up being a toss up. I've had most, the Google hd (not 4K) was stupid slow. My Rokus are good for 3-4 years before they start to feel slow. The fire tv I've had was the stock and it was bad and absolutely loaded with ads, I'm sure better models are snappier, they have a lot of them that's for sure.

I use to be a Roku advocate but after having to replace them for getting sluggish for no noticeable features, I've started leaning towards Apple TVs as they tend to be snappy and have a lot of features with a decent UI, though it takes a bit to get use to sometimes.

This has 100% been my experience. All 5 of the FireTVs I bought died within 2 years. My Roku's just keep going, but get sluggish. Apple TV is the best, but expensive and they need a stick version so I don't have to fuss with where to put it.

Meanwhile, $600 for an 85" TV seems great. I don't think I can even fit it in my house. 😂

Bought a Vizio 60" SmartTV on Black Friday 2013 from Best Buy. Best TV we have ever had. Still have it in the living room as our main tv. It's been a wonderful TV.
