The longevity test looks pretty terrible.

I dunno I wouldn't be terrible excited for the open box and the fact it's webOS. Probably could get a Hisense for a similar price that was GoogleTV. This insignia would be better if it didn't have Fire TV on it too. Not really excited about TV's with built in Fire TV.

WebOS used to be my recommendation to others.
Not anymore the last 4+ years.

FireTV is now my go to TV OS.
Not only does it have a lot of apps, you can customize and sideload APK Android (if you dare).

I generally don't connect my TVs to the Internet anymore.
I just use an HDMI based device from the get go.
If you aim to get 4+ years out of a TV you're almost guaranteed to be disappointed by a failed update, changed/removed features on update, lost settings etc.

I want my TV dumb and unable to be fudged by the parent company out of warranty. My color settings and functionality are not going to magically be lost or degraded at a time I don't expect. Then I just update my $30 streaming devices at will.

Let's you be OS agnostic.

This is a totally different TV. That was a QLED and this ain't.

The problem with these private label TVs is you have no idea what it is.
