Terraformers: First Steps on Mars is a demo - you only get 30 turns. That doesn't mean it's not a good game, but the GOG title is misleading.

I probably have a thousand hours in Endless Sky. Top down space rogue lite, spiritual successor to Escape Velocity and EV Nova. Currently community developed, and the community keeps adding new content like ships, races, missions, and whole sections of the Galaxy regularly.

I recognize a few titles that are free on Steam too. If you go on Steam, search for Free games, sorted by highest rated you'll find some pretty good ones.

OpenTTD is awesome if you like city builders, distribution networks or trains. There's also a good community for mods. You don't need GOG for it, though, as it's open source. Not sure of the difference or any benefit you might get from Gog?

I recall Bio Menace has worse controls/movement than some of Apogee's other side-scrollers, but it's probably worth trying at least once. I first played it decades ago.
