I had one leak inside of a wireless Apple keyboard (~$100), a digital camera (~$250) and a polaroid camera (~$150); it's unfortunate that these happened.. but this is out of MANY devices I've used batteries in. Kirkland batteries leaked much more frequently.
In the above 3 cases, I emailed duracell, they asked for photos of the damage & the batteries, the product and price paid, and where to mail a check to. They didn't ask me for the products back (batteries or damaged products) and simply mailed a check for the full value. It keeps me going back to Duracell, which I know sounds stupid because they ruined 3 devices.. but they came through and did better than I expected each time.

They definitely leak a lot more frequently than they used to both sets in the past year leaked with in a year. 90% of them right out of packaging within a few months of purchase.
I have switched away from them for now. May be they can bother fixing the QC issues if they want to fix the reputation.

Photos of the corroded batteries in the device, showing damage (with them clearly being 'duracell' batteries), ideally with the date or production code showing so that they can see if it's expired or not.
They also asked for the details on the damaged device: ie: Does not work, Apple keyboard model #123456
If you already discarded the batteries, that seems to be an 'out' where they can't confirm or cover the replacement, so make sure you keep them.
I sent everything over by email and they replied with:
Since your satisfaction means a great deal to us, we'll send you a coupon for new batteries and a pre-paid Visa debit card for $69.99 to replace the keyboard via postal mail. The card can be used where any Visa cards are accepted, and also to make online purchases. Please look for delivery within 2-3 weeks.
In this case, Amazon had the keyboard for $69.99 so they likely just went with that price for the gift card

I think I'll be switching back, because EVERY AA leaks now. (You name it, i've tried them all! Even the non leaking brands that people rec here on SD!), at the very least i'll get my money back for it.
On another note, oddly enough, this doesn't happen in the super cheap batteries that originally came with the tv and electronics remotes. Or the super cheap batteries I've put in stuff in general (albeit, they didn't last very long before dying either lol)
