Incredible deal, but why are these great string deals always for .10's only? As a steadfast .09'er I'm starting to feel like a left-hander when it comes to guitar strings. ;-)

Put 10's on a guitar and tune it a whole step down. Similar tension plus you now have more variety for playing.

This is a steal. I'm going to line up before they open, wonder if others are doing the same. Make sure you redeem all the codes on each packet which you use to get more strings from D'addario's website points program.

Wondering if there will be sufficient stock or they will purposely limit so that ppl will need to line up like crazy? I'm all for getting there early, just don't wanna be pushing and shoving ppl to get something like this.

Is it just for EXL110 or for other strings as well? Can I use EXL110 strings in my acoustic guitar?

Seems like it's mainly for electric guitar, but I am looking to get strings for my acoustic guitar.

Just those. You could try them, but people generally use bronze wound strings for acoustic. You use electric strings on my thinline acoustic electric guitar and they sound okay.

Yes, but only for John Rutsey era songs. For anything else (except By-Tor and the Snow Dog) you'll need to restring your guitar.

Anyone have an actual picture of the add, that include the store and date (not just a random 12 sets for $12 with no details)?

If I'm heading to a physical location for this, would be helpful if there is an issue.

I just checked my emails, it was in one of their countless daily emails. The offer is only good tomorrow, December 21st, while supplies last. I did a screen grab, hopefully the attachment will work.

I just called my local store to see if they're doing the promo and they guy said they are but also said they only have 20 of these on hand... lol.

Not sure if this is going to be worth the trip or my time.... feels like a gamble (where you are either going to see a line of 20+ ppl or not) though.

In the email I got from Guitar Center, near the bottom, there is a mention that you can buy them for pickup at the store and they will price match. So, I put in an order at $69 for pickup and will go on 12/21 to my nearest GC and they should credit that day's price and adjust accordingly. We'll see.

Where are you seeing that? Do you have a screenshot? I see stuff about buying online and picking up in store but not specifically pertaining to the deal itself - those messages seem more just general and informing you that you can buy stuff online for pickup in store.
