I have this for a couple years. I don't use it often, but when I do it's been a lifesaver.

Anyone know if this has gotten so cheap because Dewalt has a new model coming out?

Thanks, I went ahead and ordered. I almost ordered a few other times at a higher price.

I absolutely love my Dremel version of this tool but changing blades is annoying, so this will be nice with the quick release.

Doubt it. I'm assuming it's a "if it's not broke, don't fix it". Most people really like this one and it's not like there has been significant innovation in the multi tool market since this has come out.

Yeah, but if the price keeps getting lower, they will have to innovate, so they can have a more expensive one to sell. This tool is great, though. The blade changing component is awesome.

That could be the case, but id assume after manufacturing this tool for 5ish years, they can produce it cheap and use it as a gateway tool to DeWalt platform.
But, I'm happy to be proven wrong if they do release something new.

Looks like a great deal... normal low-ish price is like $99 for this kit.

Separate note. Is there a big difference between the cheap blades and blades that are like 3/$20+-ish?
I've used some cheap blades on mine and they seemed to dull quickly.

Get the Diablo carbide tipped blades - they ain't cheap but worth it. You should be able to find in flea bay for ~ $20 for 3 but you might need to be patient for that price.

Cheap blades have their place. The more expensive blades are much better at holding their sharpness (better steel and temper; some are even carbide) but when you ruin one it's a bummer. If you're cutting things sure to ruin the blade, use cheap blades. I keep both on hand but often grab the cheap ones.

amazon seems to have removed the coupon (it was there earlier). Lowe's seems to have it for $89, with 5% Lowes reward card and some 4% cash back, you can get it close to this deal.
