question y'all: i got 2 young kids and no time to really play. as someone who's ok with nintendo switch and ps4 graphics, regular ps5 should be adequate for me, right?

Yes. Ps5 slim is good. But get the portal then you can start playing in the house anywhere anytime even when getting kiddo to bad or entertaining them.

Definitely. Unless you have a TV with a 120hz panel I would pass on the Pro and stick with a regular PS5.

After reading books, my kiddo want me to stay in the room till she fall asleep. Her room is too big. Definitely a first world problem. That's when I play my portal Smilie it is to cancel our cocomelon's damage to my brain.

Make sure the wife and kids are in bed by 11pm everyday. You can play from 11:30pm - 12:30am everyday. You'll be fine.

You can also get a "Dadstation", aka a PlayStation portal so you can play handheld when the TV is held hostage by Bluey and co.
