Lowe's has the Craftsman S2000 52-in Stacked Metal Rolling Tool Storage Collection on sale for $698 with free in-store pickup. Choose black or red.

I have this set in black and have enjoyed it. It's very sturdy with 18 and 20 gauge steel construction + soft close drawers. Significantly more heavy duty than the smaller Husky's that have been on SD. Only slight against it is the 18" depth, but that has never been an issue for me.

Short depth, tuna can metal, your cat could knock this thing over. Craftsman toolboxes are the worst.
Downsides not withstanding, it's a lot of box for $700. USA assembled too.

You're probably thinking about the cheap models of Craftsman boxes. This one uses thicker gauge steel than the US General that everyone is going crazy about today. If you have a cat in your place that can knock this over, it's probably a cougar. Get out and call Fish & Wildlife immediately to have that danger neutralized.

Both are solid options. Boils down to what is most important to you.

Craftsman has soft close drawers (HF does not), but is a good bit smaller (4" shorter depth and 4" shorter width).

Craftsman sheet metal is thicker on the shell and support structure, but thinner with the drawers.

Craftsman are made in Missouri, and US General are made in China.

Personal preference, but the US General chests are visually more appealing.

I personally went with the Craftsman because they just felt nicer and are significantly cheaper. Plus, grab a 20% off Lowe's coupon online to make them cheaper.

But if I was going off looks, US General hands down. That white one is chef's kiss.

In addition to what katncaed said above, the Craftsman deal is for the top and bottom boxes. The US General is bottom only.

I realized it doesn't have a wood top. Just went to Lowes and saw they had a bunch of Kobalts with wood tops on clearance @ 30% off. Too bad they are even thinner (20ga) than the US General (19ga)

Just comparing the lower base cabinets:
The Craftsman weighs 165 lbs, a load weight capacity of 1500 lbs and 18,522 cube inch interior space.

The US General cabinet weighs 365 lbs, a load weight capacity of 4400 pounds and has 23.500 cu inches of interior space.

And the Crafsman drawers are less than 23" wide, so you can't put longish tools like pry bars, breaker bars or torque wrench in them.

The US General has top drawers that run the full width, so probably 52" wide.

I have the Craftsman top + bottom in red. Was able to get it for a little less than this, but mostly got lucky. I bought the set for around this price in red. Got it home and one of the parts was damaged. Only replacement they had at Lowe's was the display box by the front doors, but they lost the key to it, so gave me a big discount on it. Afterwards, I just had to call Black & Decker, and they sent replacement keys for free. Although they did send the wrong keys the first time, but got it right the second time. There is a number code on the lock for replacement keys. Anyway, have been very happy with both the top and bottom.

Definitely not, go check these out at the store. Much lower weight ratings, much lighter box...
