This one is soft modable. You can add quite a few games with the compatible button layout.
Personally I never click on deals and comment on something I'm not interested in. Now if it's something I bought and had a bad experience with, then I would leave my exp so that it may help someone else avoid the same bad experience. As for this product, I don't have it... I have the Big Blue and the CE HS II. Both are more "Authentic" representations of a Street Fighter Arcade Cab. The games are the same between the HS 5 and the Shinku Edition. How much you use it depends the individual. But this is a good price and there's an option to soft mod this and load a lot of other games. So it's a pretty cab that you can use for many other games (Like Marvel Vs Capcom 2). If you lack a multicade, this is a good option. The button layout for the SF cabs are flexible for many types of games compared with something like a MK cab or Pacman...If you don't play any retro games and have no love for an arcade cabinet, then don't buy this kind of product.
Why bother looking into the deal and commenting if you dont like them?

A few months ago I was going to buy a product and one of the SDers mentioned their experience with playing with it for 1 day then going in the closet (arcade stick). That is exactly what this is . Downvote me if you want, but it's the truth. Truth isn't always easy to hear.
So basically instead of trying it yourself you found a single person on slickdeals that said "cabinet bad!" and you simply took them at their word? Sounds like that was always your opinion and you were just looking for someone to agree with you. If you want to talk about "truth" than maybe you should actually have some experience with said product before coming here to troll. And judging by your other posts that's all you're actually doing.

wishing the simpsons arcade1up goes on sale again now that I have the room for it

Ended up selling my NIB Simpsons unit last week for $450, I was planning to softmod it and prefer this button layout.

I have a few arcade places by me $20 unlimited play for the day hundreds of classics and pinballs. For me once a year this takes care of my arcade fix. I grew up trading arcade machines as a kid. Always fun for the first few months like anything else then it starts to gather dust. Thankful to have some options close by me which is a real slick deal.

Not sure what the point of posting this as it'll get downvoted by the people who can't handle the truth.

Emulation is far, far, superior if you own the cartridges legally.
1) Less room
2) More flexibility with cheats, mods, etc.
3) Can play in surround sound, bigger screen, HDTV
4) emulators can render games with latest tech to make better than original.
5) Can use beautiful Playnite interface
6) Don't have to trash it once you get bored.

Buying this will be guaranteed e-trash in a few years. Mark my words.

Now go ahead and downvote me for speaking the truth.
So, because some guy stopped using it after one day, that means everybody will? We all know about emulation and the benefits. You're talking about emulating games like it hasn't been going on for 25+ years. It's not some new concept. Just because you don't like it, doesn't mean everyone will.

only if my wife will allow this...what I want is a pool table, arcade games (the one with joy sticks, driving wheels/pedals for racing, and guns for shooters)
If she disapproves, it's not the worst time of the year to find a new wife!

What's so bad about e-trash? Scientists say it's too late to save the earth, anyway. I'm gonna get a bunch of these and give them out as gifts. Might as well enjoy what time is left.

I'm with everyone else that it's probably something you will only play once or twice and never again. At least, that was the case for me. I would much rather play emulators on my handheld or PC. However, I don't regret my purchase and always keep it plugged in. I keep mine in the basement, and anytime I'm down there hanging out, I'll glance over and catch a Ryu Hadoken going off, bringing a smile to my face. I think many of you overlook the fact that it's a cool decoration piece. It may be an expensive decoration piece, but it's cool nonetheless!

Well said and I'm the same way. I have bought arcades like this and ended up selling, but it was the Simpsons and a pac man. A fighting game would be awesome to have if you have a friend who likes it too.
Shouldn't have sold that Simpsons, it's the most moddable arcade1up machine to date. Super easy to do too.

Pointless post, if you never played it or owned it, we don't care what you would rather do.
