Here's another trick I used to save a few bucks on taxes: Go ahead and update your profile to a state that doesn't collect taxes (like Delaware or Oregon). Then, update your preferred theater to that city. When you renew or upgrade your membership, you won't see any tax. You can pay with your regular credit card, and you won't have to worry about the tax being added to your subscription! I hope this helps someone out there!

Worked for me too. My original next billing date was Dec 1 2026. When I placed my order it said Nov 30 2027. Then after I went back to my account it says Dec 1 2028. Thanks!

Did AMC start charging sales tax on stubs membership recently? Looked at my past AMC orders back in 2022 when I renewed stubs premiere several times for $7.50/year and no sales tax was charged then. But when I tried renewing, they are charging sales tax now.

Awesome. I was so worried because after paying $15+$1tax at checkout it said I'd need to pay again Jan 2026 but then in account it said Jan 2027 is next renewal

I didnt have an active premier, and when I did join now I received the same as everyone else. Once purchased it showed renewal in my account Jan 2027

Maybe YMMV. My earlier renewal date was May 25 2025. After the renewal now it's June 1 2028. I confirmed in account history that I was charged 15 only once.
