I'm getting this to replace almost this same model. It worked hard for about 2 years and is now developing mold in unclean-able spaces. But for the price, definitely a good deal for me.

"The ice storage area is not refrigerated. It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer."

This is a nope for me.
Edit: looks like most table top ice makers operate this way. So not a problem with this particular model.
