I would not recommend this kind of strap for VR excise like Beat Sabre or AudioTrip. I had Quest 2 and bought two different kind of this hard plastic strap. One even with cooling fan at the front. The problem is that if you make it too tight, there is pain around the head after a few minutes or so. If a little loose, I will lost focus while excising due to headset movements. I used them for over 8 months and then come back to original strip come with Quest 2. Oh, my! Huge difference! I finally understand why Quest 2 & 3 just use rubber-band kind of head strap. It stays tight but not causing pain around head. I can excise with those fitness VR games without losing focus. So, when I got Quest 3, I don't bother to look for any third party head strap anymore.
If you play VR game without moving much, this kind of head strap probably better. For example, if I play Resident Evil 4, I just sit and those hard shell strap will not cause losing focus issue because headset does not move.
Perfect. My elite strap broke like many others have reported over the years. Was looking for a replacement a few weeks ago and couldn't find it for under $22
The quest 3 will fit in this fine as long as it doesn't have a non oem headstrap. So I assume the Q2 won't fit in this case with a diff headstrap either which totally sucks. You can kinda squeeze it in but it absolutely will not zip closed. It sucks.....
Update:
Since a photo from another reviewer does show it fitting the case with the headstrap I'll buy it and see, return if it doesn't.

The Elite straps are nice, I think they fixed the "snapping" issue a few years ago (they replaced my Elite Strap w/ Battery 3 times for it snapping -- the last one has lasted fine without any issues).
I find the carrying care to be pretty annoying/frustrating for storing the Quest 2 in, and it has the absolute worst zipper I've ever used. It's good for longer-term storage or for traveling, but I found that for "putting it away for the day" was more hassle than it was worth. I know that some people did actually start to drill a hole into the side so that you can charge the Quest 2 while it's in this case, and I don't remember hearing any of them catching on fire.
EDIT: For $10, it's worth it. My gripes were more that they 'forced' it onto you before with the Elite Battery Strap ($130 for the strap + case, no standalone option) and that they sold the case by itself for $60. It's worth $10.
The case does also fit the Elite Strap, but you have the problem of having to constantly tighten it down for it to fit in the case.
The Orange Quest 3 Facial Interface & Head Strap are both the same as the stock ones that come with the Quest 3.. they're just orange (they also made a Blue variant). Not any higher quality or better comfort, it's just a color thing.

also checked and the elite strap for quest 2 will not fit the quest 3
Man I can't believe I wasted $50 on the quest 2 strap back in the day. Had 2 of them break on me and yeah they replaced it but it was a hassle.
