I had issues with the last-gen LOQ's AMD variant with the 7640HS. FYI the 8645HS is basically a carbon copy of the 7640HS plus some AI hardware. I experienced random reboots while computer is sitting alone doing literally nothing. Not even a BSOD. Walk away for a few minutes to find my entire system in a cold boot state. Did a lot of things including tweaking advanced BIOS settings. Didn't do much. I don't know whether to blame Lenovo's BIOS or AMD for this but I got fed up and got the last-gen LOQ's Intel variant. Absolutely no issues still using it to this day. So I think I got a dud, but I don't know...

What do you guys think versus this one? Not hardcore gamer but wanted to do some gaming plus be able to do some more intensive graphics stuff.

This one should have better battery life if it has integrated graphics. Data sheet shows radeon 760 but need to confirm.

Bro like a beauty. If you're talking about classic it's a 20 year old game you're fine. If you're talking about retail wow then again you can play on high graphics but typically you play on low for better frames.

How does that handle games versus the dedicated 6GB card? Or is it enough to say that the reason Radeon 760 is sufficient?

The 760M is already pretty good for light gaming. Any more and you'll need the 4050 obviously

This is not something that can be said with Intel though. Their iGPUs in the LOQs suck at any real gaming

AMDs next-gen iGPU (890M) will give some good uplift compared to current-gen and supposedly the new Intel iGPUs are gonna be really good. Take that with a grain of salt, but preliminary info says they are gonna be discrete-level good. I guess we'll see.

The demand on gpu for most gaming has basically plateaued, so its easy to catch up...
