This deal was posted few days back and I said the same thing to many users. This is a flimsy product.

I think that we all understand that this little $99 tool box isn't the best quality. The question is, how good of quality do you personally need for the tools that you have and the way that you will be using it?

If you're not a very heavy user of tools, this might be a decent fit for your tool storage needs. Others who have more tools and use them frequently will likely want better.

Not the quality of the 2000 model I have. The bottom foldout drawer is flimsy and drawers hold 30 pds. But if u just want it stationary and light diyer this is perfect. instructions r terrible. Look up video on YouTube. Also upper chest is hidden in bottom foldout chest section.

Not to mention the flimsy hinge on upper drawer. It will crap out in probably 100 open-closures.

You can try that. The good news you won't even need sheet metal screws. The metal is barely 4 times the thickness of coke can.

I have not noticed that. Yet. We will see. For $100 u get what u pay for. On another thread for this last 2 weeks, other people have had theirs for years and said it's great for diy light users and being stationary. Not for heavy use rolling around.

Honestly I went to purchase this in Lowes few days back and changed my mind when the same model was on clearance in brand new condition for $69 with the hinge crapped out.

I'm a bit above an average DIY and purchased this to act as a stationary tool box for my small hand tools while I rearrange my workshop. The next step up in quality is more than 2x the price. 30lb drawer limit is fine for hand tools and a few power tools. Someone said assembly instructions were bad? It's literally 2 preassembled toolboxes where you only have to screw on 4 casters.

Anyways.. the product is a good buy if you have the right use-case / expectations

Nah, hard pass. I'd rather use a coupon & buy the carts coming outta China from Harbor Freight. The US General line has thicker gauge steel. Hell, even the Husky brand coming outta Homey Depot is better than this mess.

Husky is far better than this. US General beats this crap too. Save $99 and invest in something decent. You do not have to get a sickdeal from slickdeals.

I bought this a year or two back as someone who just wanted a place to put household tools in a storage shed. The top box had a messed up hinge, even though it was brand new. I called warranty support and asked for another box after supplying pictures and video. They sent me replacement hinges instead. I decided to just force shove the drawer until it worked normally since replacing the hinges looked like a real pain, and the drawer is working fine now somehow. The bottom box works fine at a basic level and is structurally sound, even if the construction seems flimsy.

If you just need a basic tool chest combo and are going to lock it in place for years, it'll do the job. You'll have a hard time finding a name brand equivalent with the same dimensions and at this price point. If you want something that feels more 'rugged' and 'professional', you'll have to spend more for a better equivalent product.
