GOOD:
-These are going to likely be the best sounding ANC headphones you hear. Fantastic sound separation and details, super punchy bass that is actually overwhelming for some but that can be easily toned down in the companion app. Overall sound quality is head and shoulders above any other ANC wireless headphones including the xm5s and others in that class except arguably the Airpod max and anything in the $500 and up price classes such as the B&W PX8/Focal Bathys/Dalis of the world. Even then these are highly competitive.
-Battery life is the best on the market. Replacement pads are available at $20 or so.
FINE:
-ANC is fine. While it's noticably less capable than sat the xm5s or some of the Boses, i wear these in the NYC subway constantly and they're perfectly effective.
-Mic for calls are perfectly fine in my experience but nothing extraordinary.
BAD: there are a couple of major problems that you can work around but they can in fact be annoying.
-First, it is finicky connecting to multiple devices, so you want to be diligent about managing connections if possible.
-Second, there is ABSOLUTELY a clicking sound bug with my pair that's related to an oversensitive ear detection mechanism. I had to electrical tape mine up to get it to go away.
If that works for you, congrats! Enjoy what is a very nice deal.

Sparkly treble, immense sound stage, punchy bass, shiny mids, vociferous vocals, you will only be limited by your imagination (and knowledge of adjectives)!
That being said, if you just want a great pair of headphones with excellent sound and the best noise cancellation but don't feel like learning how to hear music professionally try the xm5s or qc ultras. Xm4s also very good. 😅
Momentums sound good but the noise cancelling is very weak, cheap feeling build quality, not as comfortable as the aforementioned headphones and very annoying ultra sensitive touch controls than enable every time you turn them on even if you turn them off.
Good luck!

Also these are the only pair of noise-canceling headphones I've ever used where the ANC doesn't feel like something is pushing in on my ears. And the transparency mode is great too - easy to enough to switch between the two just by double tapping the right cup.
You likely have to desolder the battery cable to the battery, but other than that it doesn't look that hard to me. I'm assuming not many have replaced batteries in the momentum 4 yet.
I tried to repair my Anker earbuds that had one earbud fail and that was impossible for me anyway.

Bought these over the summer and they're just not worth it. The sound is decent and even the noise cancelling isn't bad, but every other aspect sucks.
The touch controls are way too sensitive to the point where when my arms go above my head there's a decent chance my shoulder is going to touch the pad and it'll detect some gesture. They randomly turn on when I have them in my bag. Even when trying to turn them off, sometimes they'll turn right back on. They really struggle with 2 connections. Of course any headphone has issues if you try to listen to 2 sources at once. That's not the issue. I mean to say, if 2 devices are connected and one is playing music and the other is not doing anything, sometimes they'll favor the idle device. They'll randomly try to connect to old devices; leading you to basically need to re-pair every time you want to use them. They fall of your ears/head way easier than any other pair I've owned. The touch gestures sometimes just don't work. And the most annoying this is the distance. My old sennheisers could probably handle 30-40 ft no problem and still had crystal clear audio. These start to degrade audio quality after more than 15 feet away.
I could go on but they're just a bad experience. I'd highly recommend getting anything else in the same price bracket.

If you didn't update that could explain the issues outside of possibly defective or just a bad experience. If you did update and were still having all these issues I'd be curious to know though.
