I'll quote another user, in the other similar thread, who said:

"The future looks bright for WUHD as LG is coming out with quite a few 5120 x 2160 OLED monitors in 2025 at 34", 39", and 45": https://tftcentral.co.uk/news/ole...p-for-2025"

So seems better to wait for these?

Right now Dell is at $1919, so 10% still will make it more than this. I've been watching this since it came out, and this is the lowest I've seen it without discounts.

As for the LG monitors, I think those might be more geared for gaming. This is a productivity monitor through and through, you will not want to game on it.

Agree about LG, this is as close to do everything right as you can currently get. Productivity beast with a KVM and 120Hz is good enough for gaming. I ordered one for $1499 a while ago and it shipped today!

Way too much for an IPS. OLED prices have been dropping super fast.

I might have considered if this price was on Dell which is eligible for the usual discount shenanigans.

There is no OLED at 5120x2160 at any refresh rate. This is the only screen available with 120hz @ 5k2k.

60hz 5k2k 40" came in 2021
2024 was first year with a 120hz (this one)

And rumor has it an OLED will finally come in 2025 with LG

I have one of these at work along with a LG DualUp 28". Need a good video card to drive 5k2 @ 120hz.
The 49" monitors are too "short" and the 43" are too tall. Was considering the 57" but VA.

According to RTINGS:
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...ll/u4025qw

Not a great monitor at anything. 8.0 for "Office" is the highest.
