My advice is to buy a mount with a backplate for 24" on center studs. It allows you to easily mount and center a tv that is mounted on old construction where the studs may not center where the tv needs to go. This mount is 16.5 wide so it has to be exact with no wiggle room for offset mounting studs.

I have a previous version that did not include the peg board, spent about $35 with discounts if I recall. Very satisfied with the product, easy to install for someone with basic knowledge. Definitely recommended

Got this for the peg board for outdoor tv. Nothing special about it just a regular tv mount and a separate pegboard. If you just need the pegboard you can buy one at Home Depot for a couple bucks.

For example
The Walmart Onn branded mount that was $29 for Black Friday [walmart.com] mounts to 16" or 24" studs per the packaging. I didn't read the packaging till today so thanks for the tip! Dodged a bullet by not getting the wrong mount.
