I have this saw, I bought it because I wanted something that could be used 1-handed. This saw is perfect for that. It still is able to be used in heavier cutting scenarios that the typical 1-handed saws would never be cut out for. I cut up a bunch of 4" cast iron drain pipe with this makita sub-compact. It was fine, it got a little hot but it survived. I might pick up a second just to have, this is a very good price.
