Dang, 175lbs max weight limit...

Guess this will motivate my new year's exercise to lose the Holiday weight! Can hear the Tokyo Drift theme already while my neighbors watch in envy!

If we had something like this in my youth (60's & 70's), we would have it wrecked by lunchtime, fixed by dinner time and Fubar'd by the end of the week!

This thing is AWESOME. We bought 2 for our pre teen girls and it's been non stop play since they opened it for Christmas. They've told us it's the best thing they've ever gotten lol. We paid $100 each for them tho! Boo

can someone explain to me how segways(which dont hover at all) became known and accepted as 'hoverboards'? as someone whos been waiting for an actual hoverboard since 1986, calling this bull**t a 'hoverboard' makes me rage much more than it probably should.

edit: i take the last part back, my rage is 100% righteous and justified. I hope everyone who calls these hoverboards falls off and breaks their faces

Just had this delivered. The motors are not 200W. They are 150W, clearly printed on the box.
Mine were 200W.

Interesting. Do you have a picture of the box and the model information?

No wattage on the board itself, just on the box and in the manual.

Mine shows manufactured 7/8/24 did yours have a date.

Their website shows 200W as well.

No date code on the box, and I didn't open as I may return. It was still available, so I tried another order.

Both my box and manual conveniently have a piece of tape/paper over 200w that says 150w. The manufactured date on mine was 8/8/2024.

Considering every other spec is the same I wonder if the original rating was incorrect. Shouldn't higher-powered motors have a lower runtime on the same battery?

Received mine yesterday. The box says 150W motor which is misleading from the item description. Kids enjoyed the ride as a kart and hoverboard itself. The speed limit 6.2 mph can be felt easily. I will check with walmart CS what they can do for the wrong description. Overall it's a good toy for kids around 8 yrs old. This is our first hover toy so kids liked it so far.

Second order arrived today, identical to the first order: 150W printed directly on the box. I sent a message to GOTRAX support to ask for more information.

The manual has a 5 hour runtime, but after a full charge ours only lasted for about 30 minutes although we kept it in the garage overnight at about 32 degrees. I'm recharging indoors and seeing if that helps the battery runtime at all.

This thing has been a disaster. Set it up and it immediately takes off because the handles are always in a position to make it move. It slammed the handle into the ground and took a chunk out of my lvp flooring. Took it to the basement on concrete and same issue and it scratched up a bunch of the floor.
Also, it turned on and swung a handle into my son's ankle. Returning it. Terrible product.

Yeah, the install instructions suck, but mine works fine. The handles should be at about 45 degrees and the hoverboard horizontal for the stopped position.
